Ryder Revere coaster design

I had the honor and privilege working with Ryder Revere Luxury Apartments in making coasters for their celebration of their new beer on tap called Ryde the Wave. Ryder partners with BearMoose Brewery (Everette, MA) and serves handcrafted beer to their residents and friends. It’s a beautiful place and great pleasure working with them.

Goal

The goal of the coasters was to match Ryder’s aesthetic while also making it celebratory. Ryder’s brand book was a huge help in creating this coaster and making it as cohesive as possible.

Design

Every part of this 3 x 3 in. circle was designed with care and intention. The BearMoose character gives life to their partner brewery. The beach and sun stand for Ryder’s beautiful location and environment for its residents. The confetti on the outer ring follow the rhythm of Ryder’s brand book both in color and line work. The colors and funny character with sunglasses is just silly in the best way. It’s bright and fun just like Ryder’s atmosphere.

close runner ups

Working out the smaller elements such as what goes on the outer ring? Should there be something near the logo? What color will each thing be? Should the bear wear glasses? It all matters. Finding the right matches and mixes contribute to whether a piece feels finished and in harmony.

sketches

The BearMoose in the bikini was a favorite of the client. So I stuck with that and played around with the smaller elements.
